Established in 1988, Swiis Health & Social Care has a profound understanding of the changing needs of both public and private sector health and social care providers. This experience and industry knowledge created a natural platform from which to grow Swiis Foster Care in 2000 - an independent foster care service. Our foster care facilities from Birmingham to the North East of England have been rated as either outstanding or good by Ofsted, and our foster care service in Scotland is also highly regarded by the Foster Care Inspectorate.

Swiis was founded in 1988 by our Chairman and owner Mr Dev Dadral initially providing local social care provision from an office in Ealing, West London. The Swiis commitment to quality was soon recognised by our clients, enabling the Swiis business to grow extensively over the years, diversifying out into foster care (England) in 2000, healthcare in 2004 and foster care (Scotland) in 2005.
Swiis is now one of the most substantial and reputed providers of independent foster care in the UK with 13 foster care facilities caring for nearly 700 looked after children and young people.
Dev Dadral commenced foster care with one predominant directive; to create foster homes where he would be prepared for his own children to be placed with the overriding ambition to establish excellent foster homes where children would have the opportunity to flourish. This standard has resulted in our facilities across our regional English offices being rated as Ofsted outstanding in Birmingham, Manchester, Lancashire and Leeds and Ofsted good in Newcastle and Darlington. Our Foster Care Scotland service was recently awarded a 4-5 score rating by the Care Inspectorate.
