Providing you have completed the registration process and you have the appropriate travel documents, we will endeavour to have a choice of placements available to you before your arrival in the UK.
 
How long does it take to register?

This depends on how quickly we receive your completed application form and obtain the necessary references and police clearance.  You will also require the appropriate travel documents. We will then arrange an interview before finally registering you as available for placement.

Can you find me accommodation?

As well as paying for you first nights accommodation, we have accommodation listings and will be able to put you in touch with relevant agencies.

How do I claim my tax back?

If you are a locum that has finished working in the UK and plan to return abroad, you will be able to claim your income tax back (National Insurance cannot be claimed back). Request a P85 form from our payroll department.

How much does it cost to register with SWIIS?

We do not charge for registering.

How much will I get paid?

At SWIIS, we provide exceptional rates of pay.   Your pay will very much depend on the nature of the assignment you'll be undertaking.  Expenses and subsistence will be paid at rates agreed and authorised by the customer. Relevant receipts will need to accompany any submitted claims.

How will I be paid?

You'll be paid weekly direct into your bank/building society account against an authorised timesheet. If you're self-employed, you can be paid gross on receipt of an invoice, authorised timesheet and evidence of schedule D status.  If not, SWIIS will deduct the appropriate legal rates of income tax and National Insurance contributions.

What will be the length of my contract?
SWIIS can arrange placements that are either emergency, respite, short or long term. Once registered with us you will have the opportunity to undertake a variety of ongoing assignments of various lengths.  The choice is yours.
